First up, we have some exciting new features for you. We now support Internet settings search, making it easier for you to find the Settings menu. No more endless scrolling and searching, just type in what you're looking for and voila! Additionally, we have enhanced the protection of your synced data with end-to-end encryption. This means your saved pages, bookmarks, open tabs, quick access, and history are all protected in the Samsung Cloud. Please note, end-to-end encryption is available from Samsung Cloud app v5.5.10 or higher. We have also made some changes to improve usability. We have removed the options to change the scroll bar position and hide the scroll bar. This may take some getting used to, but we believe it will ultimately make your browsing experience smoother and more efficient. At Samsung Internet, we take your security and privacy seriously. That's why we offer features like Smart Anti-Tracking, which intelligently identifies and blocks domains with cross-site tracking abilities. We also have Protected Browsing, which warns you before visiting known malicious sites to prevent your data from being stolen. And for even more protection, we allow 3rd party apps to provide filters for content blocking, making your browsing experience safer and more streamlined. Please note, to improve our app's usability, we may conduct A/B testing on Samsung Internet v21.0 or later. This means we may collect data on feature usage, but rest assured, we do not collect any personal information. Now, let's talk about permissions. For our app to function properly, we require certain permissions. However, for optional permissions, the default functionality of the service is turned on, but not allowed. For example, we may use your location to provide location-based content or information requested by the webpage you are using. We may also use your camera for webpage shooting and QR code scanning, your microphone for recording on webpages, and your phone information for country-specific feature optimization (for Android 11 users). For Android 12 or higher, we may use nearby devices to find and connect to Bluetooth devices when requested by a website. And for Android 13 or higher, we may use your music and audio, photos and videos, files and media, and notifications for various functions on webpages.
